Hello guys! I hope you're enjoying the summer holidays or at least have more relaxed worktime. I suppouse my faithful watchers have noticed that I posted the first parts of The Forest Pony novel, with second chapter ready to be submitted this afternoon. As this story means a lot for me, I'd be more than happy for it to get all the feedback it can.

So, if you can spare a few minutes to read and make my day a lot brighter...  and please, spread the word!  
The Forest Pony, Prologue"It really is a pity that grandpa couldn't take care of the whole garden by himself in the last years."
A stallion nudged the little colt hopping alongside him as they headed to more remote parts of Canterlot castle gardens. "Yes, but arranging flower beds and cutting overgrown trees and bushes everyday, in nearly three quarters of these gardens, is still an admirable output for an elderly pony with rheumatism, don't you think Tulip?"
Ruffling his wings, he cleared his throat, drawing his son’s attention back from the new unfinished fountain.
"Yeah, and we are here to help him with the rest!" the young pegasus said happily, his eyes slowly drifting back to the mass of marble and leaking pipes.
"Hmm, I don't think I've been in these parts before," muttered the stallion when they stopped before a bushy wall of roses and boxwoods.
Both pegasi took their pruning shears, attached them to their wings and began, one of them playfully and the other systematically, cutting the wild bushes The Forest Pony, Chapter 1: Night WatchA swarm of fireflies danced and fluttered above the trees of the alley, more and more of their lights coming to life. As the fireflies’ lanterns flourished, the last illuminated windows of surrounding Canterlot blinked out.
“No! Let me go!”
A gentle evening breeze swept a few leaves across the deserted road.
“Argh! Come on!”
One of the treetops rustled, scaring the floating lights away.
“Yes! Yes, yes… no. Argh!”
Two blue legs dangled out of the treetop, along with a shimmering, waving tail. A chest with two uselessly flailing wings followed suit.
“I demand you to let go!” Princess Luna bellowed, both her hooves and magic trying to loosen the thin silver line snaking around her neck. It dug deeper with each movement, effectively squeezing the life out of her.
Stars started dancing across her vision. Her eyes bulged out, her burning lungs crying for air.
